We’re developing a data-driven mineral exploration software platform that integrates real-time geophysics data (captured via satellite-connected sensors) into a 3D analysis and collaboration environment.
Features: 3D Terrain, subterranean geological bodies, slicing analysis, displaying 3D datasets, realtime data, surface projections
We’re assembling a team to build an MVP and technical proof of concept.
We work with people from all over the world - US, CA, EU, NZ - This effort will be remote first and we have contract or full time positions available.
If this sounds interesting to you and you’d like to discuss the project or explore joining the team, send me a PM!
You can stream any place in the world in 3D in as much detail as the geodata allows. I’ve already done it with WebGPU.
hold space to get closer. Use wasd and arrow keys for navigation.
That is now outdated. I have made it much more efficient with the latest WebGPU functions that have only recently been implemented in threejs. I know this because I have spent the last few months working with other contributors to implement these functions in threejs. It could be much more detailed and more precise, it only requires the necessary data. Only the part that is needed is streamed, similar to Google Maps.
The idea also occurred to me that this could be used to make mineral deposits around the world visible in 3D.
Thank you for your responses - we truly appreciate your support and interest. We’re reviewing them and will respond to you as soon as we can. Please stay tuned.
Hi Phil! I’m interested - are you still accepting applications? I was recently commissioned to build this globe - and I think it’s quite related to what you’re doing. (https://globe-chi-three.vercel.app/)
Hi
I have been developing virtual labs and virtual tours using Three.js for the past five years.
Three.js and 3D graphics are my strongest areas.
I am now involved in developing an open-source BIM software library, and I am also interested in the Cesium library.
