Hi everyone!
Sharing my personal portfolio site — built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, using three.js for the animated 3D background only (the rest of the UI/interactions are plain JS).
Live: Yash Tambade | Portfolio
GitHub: GitHub - Yashhh710/Portfolio: A cinematic, modern portfolio experience built with React + JavaScript, designed to showcase creative frontend development, immersive UI systems, and digital interaction design. · GitHub
It includes:
- An interactive 3D background hero section (three.js)
- About, Work, and Contact sections
- A small collection of my other projects (games, AI experiments, mini apps)
Would love any feedback, especially on performance and how the 3D background feels alongside the rest of the design.

Here is some “any feedback”:
- the background is nice that it has some subtle motion, but is too blurred for my taste, i.e. I found myself trying to unblur it mentally (and failed on all occasions)
- performance is nice, didn’t feel lagging (of course, I have not checked the projects, just the portfolio page)
- you have three figures – the seated posture, the popping out of card, and crossed arms at the end – it hurts my eyes that all of them use different artistic style, it looks like using three very different fonts in one paragraph
- do you plan to complete the portfolio soon, there are two “that feature is not available” places
There are some minor issues:
-
the right arrow in the project section does not work if clicked in the peripheral area, I had to click in the central area (see the attached image, clicking where the dot is, does not trigger the button):
-
white text on bright background is not considered excellent approach, as well as orange on dark beige or tan:

-
in some places the alignment is not perfect, see the left button – the text is not vertically centered:
-
when scrolling with the scroll bar (not the mouse) there is a sharp cut in the background between scenes, the cut quickly disappears, but still it is clearly visible:
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to review my portfolio. I’ll work on fixing the blur, consistency, button issues, alignment, colors, scrolling transition, and the unfinished sections. Thanks again—it really helps me improve the project!
