Hello Three.js Community!
I’m excited to share how our team at Polish™, a digital innovation company from Taiwan, used Three.js to create an amazing virtual education expo for National Taiwan University’s Study Abroad program.
This project, which we’ve been continuously developing and improving since 2022, completely changed how students explore study abroad opportunities and shows how 3D web technology can transform education. While we’re based in Taiwan, we’re proud to work with clients both locally and internationally, bringing innovative digital solutions across borders!

The Problem We Solved
During the pandemic, traditional education fairs became impossible. Yet NTU (National Taiwan University) still needed to connect thousands of students with global exchange programs. We faced several challenges:
- How to let thousands of students explore information at the same time
- How to present complex information in a simple, engaging way
- How to create a sense of “Being There” when everyone was physically apart
- How to make everything work smoothly on different devices, from laptops to phones
How We Used Three.js to Create Something Special
We built a virtual interactive world map where students could explore global exchange opportunities. Our key innovations include:
- Beautiful Visuals That Don’t Slow Down:
We created special graphic effects that look great but don’t require super powerful computers. This means even when thousands of students use the system at once, everything still runs smoothly. - Smart Loading System:
Our website only loads what you’re looking at right now, so pages open quickly and navigation feels natural. - Easy Interaction:
We made it simple to click on interesting points and get more information, with smooth camera movements that make the experience feel cinematic. - Works Everywhere:
Whether you’re on your gaming computer or a basic smartphone, the experience works well on all devices.
The Amazing Results
Our virtual expo platform achieved incredible results:
- Massive Participation Increase:
30 times more students participated compared to previous physical events - Huge Reach:
Nearly 9,000 students accessed exchange program information - Incredible Engagement:
Users stayed and explored for up to 2 hours
(compared to average website visits of just minutes) - Universal Access:
Students could join from any device, anywhere in the world
