Introducing: Aircada Studio

Howdy! Fellow digital magicians of the Three.js realm! It’s finally (beyond) time to introduce ourselves and share what we’ve been quietly (but furiously) working on for the last few years - standing atop the shoulders of the legendary giants here in the Three.js open-source community.

Today, we’re excited to launch Aircada, a lightweight browser based engine and 3D design studio for creating interactive 3D content on the web.

We probably went a little overboard piling features onto and into this thing, so it’s hard to list everything, but here are a few features we think you in the Three.js community will love and appreciate:

  • Instant deployment on the web, and easily embeddable
  • TSL based material, particle, and physics FX systems
  • Drag-to-connect action-trigger system
  • Flowstate and Timeline based animation systems
  • Giant library of creative commons GLB’s, images, materials, and more
  • Media upload optimization and hosting
  • … a whole lot more

We’ll be posting a whole lot more tutorials and deeper dives into the different aspects of our platform in the coming weeks, but we’re finally ready to open up the gates, and let the community take a first-look at what’s possible, and actually easy, to create with Aircada.

You can dive right into the studio through a template without signing up, or login and create from scratch.

Again, I can’t give enough thanks and appreciation for the Three.js community, and the absolutely amazing work that has been done over the last few decades here. And of course, an extra special thanks to the absolute legends @mrdoob, @sunag, @donmccurdy, and @Mugen87 (among so many other contributors that are too numerous to name).
