Hexahedrals Experiment

Hi community!

Picture:

Demo: https://codepen.io/prisoner849/full/raavxKg

It’s started with the thought “I want something structural, but a bit fuzzy”.

And I built this: https://codepen.io/prisoner849/full/ZYYOOgE

Then I thought, that it would be cool to have several structures, but it has to be a single instanced mesh. And I built this: https://codepen.io/prisoner849/full/jEEGWEO

In the end of the day, I came up with the idea to create something complex. And here we are, with this topic

Immense! Can the crystals grow off the surface of a mesh? Almost like your Nefertiti example?

Reminds me of those naturally occuring basalt columns of volcanic origin. Except for they don’t explode quite as nicely as yours:

What can I offer to learn from me, to those, who already knows kung-fu Three.js/WebGL/TSL way better than me?
