Hi guys,
I thought you may be interested in cadasio, which has recently been realised into Early Access. We make use of the brilliant Three.js, and it would be great if you took a look and tried it out.
With cadasio you can create 3D interactive instruction manuals from CAD data.
Here’s a little intro video to give you a quick overview:
On our website you can check out some examples if you want to see it in action.
At the moment we have focused on bringing models in from engineering CAD programs such as SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor using addins, but you can import the neutral formats OBJ and STEP and we will be adding support for other formats (GLTF etc.) in the near future.
We are always looking for feedback, both positive and negative, so if you do try it then I would appreciate if you could let me know what you think, we have a dedicated forum, you can find us on twitter, or feel free to message me directly on here.
As a lurker of this forum for quite some time I would also like to thank all the participants that make this place such a good resource. It’s been refreshing to see such a helpful and polite community, with some individuals always going the extra mile to help strangers. A few of the questions asked on here were surprisingly close to problems we where facing so it really has been valuable to us.
Thanks!
