The idea was taken from a YT video on Blender on how to generate interesting landscapes/terrains.
Instead of applying the stacked value of several octaves of noise to Y-coords, it uses the shifting of vertices by their normals on each iteration/octave of noise.
PS
Just a warning: the scene works well on RTX 4060, but performance drops significantly on low-end devices.
