Wobbly torus-geom

Hey, is it possible to implement sort of wobbly effect:

For an TorusGeometry? Maybe is there some examples out there or something to start with?

Just copypasted the code from this example: Perlin noise | displacement + ao + environment mapping + diffuse lighting
And changed its geometry to torus:

Oh nice!

But now its “wobbly” all over the place - can I just make it wobble on x and y or just one of them that its not looking so noisy but more wobbly in all directions?
