Why was the Collada exporter removed?

Hello,

I noticed the removal of the Collada exporter in v153 is there any reason behind this? I need to defend the removal of this feature but I’m not really a 3D expert? Is there a better export format to use? Main reason for the export was to use it in sketchup.

I think GLTF is the best supported export format.
Not sure why collada exporter was removed, but it was probably a maintenance thing… i.e. nobody was maintaining it.
