We’re building an industry-grade 3D design tool that empowers US homeowners to navigate solar independently. Our platform reconstructs a user’s home in 3D from satellite imagery in seconds using proprietary technology. This lets users visualise real-time solar potential via annual sunlight heat maps, simulate panel layouts and battery backups, and model 25-year financial projections with high accuracy.
We are funded and incubated by a veteran US solar installer, giving us a direct distribution channel and a long-term roadmap. We are currently in closed beta, preparing for a nationwide launch later this year.
About the role
We are looking for a product-minded engineer experienced in R3F and React, with a keen eye for detail and user experience.
The role covers the 3D and frontend surface of the product: the panel editor at its centre, a roof-geometry editor, a map-based address and preview layer, and the frontend side of our integrations with the irradiation, financial, and orchestration backends. Everything is in a good state today; the work involves ownership, maintenance, and continued development.
The panel editor is where a non-technical person lays out panels on their own roof. It has to feel right: snapping to other panels, auto-filling sensible layouts, respecting chimneys and vents, overlaying live shading textures, and more. Built in React Three Fiber on top of Three.js. The rest of the frontend stack is React / Next.js.
Logistics
Our team is small: three engineers (I’m one), all based in Europe. This is a full-time, remote role.
Hi, I have 4+ years of experience in Three.js, React, and React Three Fiber, building scalable 3D web applications and interactive tools.
I’ve worked in startups where I’ve built and owned products end-to-end, focusing on making things intuitive and practical for real users. Currently, I’m based in India but comfortable working in European hours, as I’ve previously worked with a US-based startup in a similar setup.
You can check my resume and portfolio for more details, happy to connect and discuss further.
Hi, I’m Adrian Madrid, Senior Software Engineer with 13+ years of experience building scalable frontend systems using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
I have strong experience with WebGL and 3D development using Three.js, Babylon.js, and Pixi.js, including building interactive visualization systems, real-time rendering, and performance-optimized UIs for complex scenes. I’ve also worked on systems involving spatial interactions, real-time updates, and AI-driven workflows.
The 3D panel editor and roof geometry workflow in React Three Fiber aligns closely with my experience building interactive, high-performance visualization tools.
Hello, I have a commertial experience with r3f projects, your project is pretty interesting for me, take a look at my latest similar projects:
