Hello and welcome
As aeons have passed since the last time I’ve set my poor laptop GPU on fire – time for another AI weekend project has have had finally come again 
Reflight Studio is my latest small little project that makes use of three.js by throwing out the 3D part entirely and instead focusing on depth estimation on flat images.
Besides being a pretty camera and photo editor app, I wanted it to do a few funky things that now seem to be in quite a stable form:
- Subject-background separation: Reflight uses AI to split 3D planes in the image, so while the picture appears flat, the app can actually work on background, subject, and foreground separately.
- 4K & 8K Upscaling: Automatically upscales whatever you throw at it to 4x, then prays your bandwidth can survive that.
- Depth-of-field: After taking a picture, the editor allows you to do a bunch of modifications only your most naughty dreams could have had imagined - modify depth of field by dragging the focus point, adjust light in the picture, add more cats, the list is nearly endless.
Please keep in mind that the poor RTX1090 server is routing via Singapore - so it could take a few more seconds to connect to other parts of the world
