Perhaps in that completely different economic system sure. I guess I’m coming from a more U.S based perspective where you are paid wages for the work you do and can spend that earned money how you see fit (usually).
I’d love to continue this debate, however this may not be the best place =]
Like other commenters, I look forward to your progress with this book. I’ve browsed up to the Brief Javascript Tutorial and spotted only one tiny typo. On this page:
scroll down to The examples/Folder. On the next line a ‘t’ was omitted from ‘but’ so we have “bu there are” instead of “but there are”.
As to eventual publication, one model is that used by Pakt Publishing. They offer choices of eBook, print version or both – priced accordingly. The site offering these choices can also provide a Corrections page for first-edition updates to purchasers.
I do believe that authors of original works like your book deserve compensation for their hard work. So please forge ahead with Discover three.js and I look forward to its complete release.
Hi @looeee I found some links not working and wrong code results. I’m interested in fixing them. How can i help you? really excited with the books coming out.
Hi @volkan, thanks so much for the feedback. I’m currently preparing a big update to the free section of the book which updates everything to use modules and has a new inline live code editor.
It’s close to a complete rewrite of the first section, so any errors you’ve found have hopefully been fixed already… or replaced with entirely new ones!
It will be ready in a week or two, and I’ll need a couple of early testers to give feedback. Let me know if you’re interested.
That goes for anyone else reading this too. Reply here or drop me a message if you want to be an early tester.
