A detail: the delay in scrolling creates a minimum of confusion, but only at the beginning and only when using the scrollbar (the wheel it’s perfect).
A suggestion: you might consider reducing it to pages other than the homepage.
With good SEO work, which I believe has been done, not all people will see the homepage as their first page
