What is the proper way of creating a prism with an oval cross section?
To put it in different words: I would like to have something that looks like a cylinder (three dimensional object) but instead of a circular cross section I’d like to have an elliptical cross section where I can specify the minor and major axis lengths.
Hi!
You can modify vertices at your will.

Thank you for your answer.
I think that this is not helping me to achieve what I’m looking for: I need a prism where the cross section is an ellipse. In your example, your prism is still a cylinder and you create an intersection with a plane.
What I need is this:

So, you can scale a cylinder, whose radius is 1. Either the mesh itself, or its geometry - depends on your needs.
