Wheee — a browser PvP tactics game with deformable terrain, wind and rain

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on Wheee, a browser-based 1v1 tactical game built with Three.js, and I’d love to share it here.

Play here:
Web: https://wheee.io/
Telegram Mini App: https://t.me/wheee_game_bot/play

Wheee is built around short PvP matches where players fight on a compact battlefield affected by terrain changes, wind, and rain.
The goal was to create something tactical, fast, and a little chaotic — but still readable.

What’s in the game

  • turn-based 1v1 gameplay

  • terrain manipulation as part of the match

  • weather systems that affect tactical decisions

  • fast browser-first sessions

One of the things I’m trying to balance is making the game feel visually alive while keeping the board state understandable enough for competitive play.

It’s still very much an active project, and I’m continuing to refine both the visuals and the mechanics. I’d be really glad to hear any feedback, especially on:

  • visual clarity

  • overall first impression

  • how readable the terrain / weather interactions feel

  • whether the core idea feels interesting from the outside

Thanks for checking it out!

Hi, the idea is really nice and the game works, especially the fact that the opponent is direclty affected by my actions and viceversa, as a feedback (from the web version) i can say that is not really clear how many action you can do before the wind and the direction of the wind is a bit difficult to understand because the map rotate so you have to look at the letters (but that can be a game design choice to add difficulty)

but in the end the animations are really nice and the models pretty, with many people online it can be enjoyable

It will start once the online mode is stable. I’ll then work on Architect mode — it should be something new
