Weird toon-shading with textures

So, I am trying to create a textured cube with toon shading, just trying to create a spinning cube where in the sides is a simple gradient I generated, and in the top and bottom, is the colors mixed in.

But my problem is that the gradient appears darker than the colors and also gets a bit whiter than usual. I added in no whiteness into my texture.

I am testing the shading too, I am using directional light that’s intensity of moves back and forth.

Can you help me make the cube equally bright, or is that just the shading? And what about the whitening? Using the color prop overrides my texture.
