Tinypoly: a low-poly 3D editor built with three.js

Hello everyone!

I have been working on an independent project called Tinypoly for a while now. It is a full 3D modeling and texturing editor built with three.js, running entirely in the browser. The idea is simple: open a tab and start modeling in a few minutes.

Modeling

Primitives, vertex, edge and face editing, extrude, inset, loop cut, cutting and hole filling. There is also a sculpt mode with seven brushes (draw, grab, smooth, inflate, flatten, pinch and crease).

Texture editor

Works like an image editor: layers, brush, eraser, fill, filters and effects, text layers, shape layers and vector (SVG) layers, plus noise and ambient occlusion generation. Anything you paint shows up on the model right away.

UV and materials

Automatic unwrap or smart projection, manual UV editing and UV map export. PBR materials with map and property tweaking, plus custom shaders when you want more control.

Render mode

GPU path tracing for the final image: HDRI environments, depth of field, exposure, tone mapping and PNG export.

Modules

Beyond regular modeling, the editor comes with modules that build geometry for you:

Building: floor plans with walls, floors, doors, windows, stairs and roofs

Environment: low-poly trees, ivy, sky and water with waves that react to what is floating on them

Voxel: voxel models and voxel terrain with direct editing

Import and export

Models in OBJ, GLTF, GLB and STL, textures in PSD, DDS and TGA. Export everything together or one file per object.

Free account (optional)

You can use the whole editor without an account. With one, your projects are saved to the cloud, you can invite other people to edit with you, generate a public view link and publish your creations to the community.

It is an independent, free project, and any feedback or criticism is very welcome.
