Simple model -
Backend provides current Sun and Moon positions. Position are updated (approximately) with a physics model. Tidal forces are solved and modeled by 3000 arrows!

Nice demo. I just learned that 1/3 of the tidal force is created by the sun and 2/3 by the moon. Does the demo take the contribution of the sun into account?

Unfortunately, just the lunar force. The link in my animation might be misleading since my animation doesn’t include solar tides. Most articles I found didn’t cover the vectors and math needed to show the bulge on opposite sides, but the one I linked does.
