I’ve been thinking about a collaborative Three.js open world project where different developers each create their own regions of a shared environment. Instead of one team building everything, it would be a modular world made up of many independent scenes, each contributed by a different creator. The idea isn’t just a game, it’s a fully explorable universe that showcases what the community can build, from immersive cities and forests to abstract landscapes, experimental shaders, physics playgrounds, and interactive narratives.
What makes this project especially interesting is that it could be structured to financially benefit contributors based on engagement with their regions. Each developer’s work could be tracked and rewarded, creating a collaborative ecosystem where everyone benefits from the success of the world.
As a long-term idea, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate meaningful experiences into this environment. I’ve spent over three decades working on a book and now a website compiling ancient knowledge about longevity, practices that slow aging or even reverse it. One day, parts of that knowledge could be embedded into an immersive quest within the open world, letting players explore and experience it interactively. Even just mentioning the idea sparks possibilities, an open world built for exploration and discovery could carry all sorts of experiences beyond what’s possible in a static setting.
I’ve also been developing infrastructure that could support something like this. I build extremely fast websites that work even in unstable network conditions and secure the source code so it’s very difficult to reverse engineer. Some of my services are here:

The goal is to create a collaborative, modular, monetizable Three.js open world where developers can contribute their own environments and experiences. Players explore, interact, and discover, while contributors get recognition and potential financial rewards. The longevity idea is just one example of how the world could carry meaningful, immersive content, but the core focus is on collaboration, creativity, and building a landmark Three.js project together.
