Suggestions on lighting so as to improve my room interior model

after a lot of help in this forum, I’ve atlas created an interior scene which looks decent however I need some suggestions on how to improve it better. I have lit my scene using an HDR and a directional light.

you see how in the reference the red marked areas are dark, I feel its like contact shadows and the lighting look so much natural.

I understand that its not possible to produce such kind of render in my three js project, however, I need suggestions on how to improve my scene so that it doesn’t look like a hospital interior kind of lighting.
