Slow fps on high res video when upgrading to 0.152

Kia ora,

I decided to try and upgrade three to a newer version. I found that high resolution 360 videos didn’t play as well as before, with frame rates dropping to below 10 fps.

After a bit of trial and error I found out the following :

  • the slow frame rate occurs when upgrading from 151.1 to 152.0
  • I think it appears to be GPU bound (see screenshots)

The video is a 5760x2880 H264 360 video, and I use a process similar to the 360 video examples to display it. The frame rate seems to improve at lower resolution videos. Any thoughts on what could be going wrong? I can try to put together an example later if needed.
