Showcase of my trippy shooter, GOOD RESIDENCE

Hey y’all!

Decided to have another go at an FPS game with react-three-fiber. Simple stuff but I’m happy with how it turned out. You go around shooting ghosts and scoring points. You lose a point if they touch you!

Play it on desktop or mobile at https://georgewaraw.github.io/gr/
or see me play it at https://youtu.be/mIWD8ChLn2E

DESKTOP CONTROLS

Move around with AWSD or the arrow keys. Move the mouse to aim and left click on the ghost to shoot it.

TOUCH CONTROLS

Swipe up/down/left/right to start moving in that direction. Do it again to stop. Move your finger on the screen to aim and tap on the ghost to shoot it.

Anyway, I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of R3F. Next should be a 3D fighter so hopefully I can actually make it this time :upside_down_face:

Is this how its meant to look?

Hey, kind of! It’s supposed to be messy and disorienting and in general looks like this: GOOD RESIDENCE three.js (r3f) game - YouTube However, it does get blurrier on lower res screens as it renders at 30% of your browser window’s width and height and that doesn’t really scale well on some devices. I am trying to think of a more adaptive solution though but so far no luck!
