I’m excited to finally have this project online today!
I’ve been working with my clients at the Project Management Institute for a few years on their recurring virtual conference series (mostly 3D modeling and rendering assets and UI elements), and for this month’s installment we’ve put together a special thing to recognize their professional awards winners: an interactive 3D gallery space with their work and portraits presented like artwork.
The environment, of course, is rendered in the browser with Three.js, and all the exhibit content and further reading is presented in regular CSS-styled HTML elements that are responsive down to mobile.
I wrote a custom movement and interaction system for simple point-and-click navigation that should be easy for less technically-minded users to get around in.
