Hi all !
I’ve been waiting so long to be able to share this post with all of you.
After around 14 months of development from scratch (including 6-7 months of closed beta) we finally released to our all customers Make Grid, an app/tool that allows you to explore all your automation landscape created within Make.com.
It’s mainly a graph visualization of all the connections of your automation system that you can explore and intereact with, and yeah, working thx to three.js .
Our pre-requisites were quite ambitious: being able to represent organizations with douzens of thousands of interconnected assets (aka hundreds of thousands of objects in total), make every object as interactive an visually attractive as possible, and with the most refined user experience, specially performance wise, the tech would allow us.
It’s been a VERY hard journey, though I’m very happy with the result.
I started from very basic knowledge and I feel in great debt with all the three.js community, specially this forum, for all the help in many topics I would have never been able to figure out only by myself. If you check my posts you will understand what I’m talking about .
I hope you like it, and I hope to be able to continue to contribute in my limited capacity (yet I have to say I have all the support from my company to contribute to the three.js comunity and absolute liberty to share any knowledge of worth we got, which you bet I will).
To showcase it I share with you some super recent videos from youtube influencers/reviewers. I hope creating an app like this can be inspiring in the realm of the ‘productivity/enterprise/SaaS tools’ implemented with three.js, which is not the most common usage at all as you well know it.
To not make this too extense, I will share some in depth tech details in the comments.
Again, thx a lot to all the community, I wouldn’t have been able to pull this out without the guidance and inspiration I’ve gotten from all of you for so many years.
