This is an attempt to make a bunch of quad instances, with letters from a texture atlas, to look like a terrain.

This might be a first-grader’s nightmare! Trying to learn words and make sense of the alphabet.
Actually you could make a game of this (for kids or adults). Start with a blank map, Have the letters start falling to form words which the user must select to clear that area. The game is over when the map is full. Kind of like Tetris with words instead of shapes. And, like Tetris, having the letters falling gives you a head start in determining when a word is about to be created.
