How can I improve my 3D interactive map?

The Test Website: 3D Karte | ERNA e.V.
I am working on an interactive map that can be used to track the position of semi-autonomous cattle in a nature park.

The website should show the nature park and the cattle’s habitat.

It is currently in a test phase where I am testing the functions. So no content.

How could I improve the experience?

It runs smooth on my machine and looks nice.

A few ideas:

  • If cattle are too many, the scene will be cluttered. Is there a way to quickly zoom in some location of the map? Panning might not be convenient for frequent long-distance pannings. A possible solution is to have a mode with strictly vertical view (3D is definitely nice, but distracting). This view could be similar to those of airplane trackers (example: https://www.flightradar24.com/).
  • If it is a tracking site, I’d expect: (1) to pick a drone and watch live streaming from the drone; (2) to pick one or more cows and track their movement on the map; (3) drones and may have ids (or names), so I could filter and quickly locate and track specific drone/cattle – e.g. I want to fine Rosie, one of the 100 cows on the map; (4) some log or recordings of past cattle movement
  • Some automatic alerts, e.g. if cattle are about to exit the area; if Rosie get too close to Big Fat John; if Rosie is not moving for a long time (she could be ill?!?)

You may ignore these ideas if they are off-topic. I’m confused by “semi-autonomous cattle” … what does it mean? Cattle are autonomous by design and by default, unless they are ill or very old. Semi-autonomous are usually machines.

Thank you very much for the feedback, that was very helpful and I will definitely use some of it.

By “semi-autonomous cattle” I mean that the cattle never come into a barn or are fed by a farmer. They live in this nature park all year round. Like wild animals, but they belong to an association.

The misunderstanding is due to the translation. English is not my first language

I am from Brazil. not the part with forests as everyone thinks. However, in the interior where there is this type of vegetation, the problem of trying to place this type of automation would be, -Energy Points to Recharge and Feed the system.
-Wifi/Internet Signal Antennas.

The idea is cool.

Great job man,
I love the clouds effect, and the use of tranparency and evanescense, i suppouse is based on sprites, but the particules are too much.
I think that the movement of camera are very limitated, i would like to turn arround, and go more hi or low.
Other effect that is great is the fog, is a good use to limit the extension to view.
I think that the image of the map could be managed and make it more bright. Could i ask abat the source of the map?
Good effect for the items selections also

Its my simple opinion, details that the client would be evalue, i think
