[Hiring] Three.js / WebGL Visual Designer for Experimental Audio–Visual Project

I’m looking for a visual designer working with Three.js / WebGL (and ideally exploring WebGPU) to collaborate on an experimental, browser-based audio–visual project.

The work involves translating dynamic, real-time data into responsive visuals, thinking in terms of atmosphere, perception, and subtle interaction rather than literal representation. You should be comfortable building lightweight, performant visuals that run directly in the browser and can evolve over time.

A sensitivity to sound, space, and minimal aesthetics is important. Experience with generative systems, reactive visuals, or artistic/installation contexts is a strong plus.

If your practice sits somewhere between code, art, and perception—I’d be interested to see your work

You can check out this 3D Subtractive Synthesizer plugin I built using Three.js and JUCE / C++. Nearly every audio parameter has a visualization → animatedinstruments.com

Hi @Tamer_Elshabrawy

Your project immediately resonated with me—especially the focus on translating real-time data into atmosphere rather than literal visuals. That intersection between perception, sound, and subtle interaction is exactly where I like to work.

I’m a developer focused on 3D and interactive web experiences using Three.js/WebGL, and recently exploring more experimental pipelines (including shader-driven systems and early WebGPU workflows). A lot of my work sits between engineering and generative art—building systems that evolve over time rather than static scenes.

From a technical side, I can contribute with:

Three.js / React Three Fiber pipelines
Custom shaders (GLSL) for generative and reactive visuals
Audio analysis (Web Audio API) to drive visual parameters
Performance-focused rendering for smooth browser execution
Structuring the project so it can scale or evolve over time

I’d love to understand more about:

The type of data/audio inputs you’re working with
Whether this leans more toward installation, web experience, or a hybrid
How open-ended vs. defined the visual direction currently is

If it aligns, I can also quickly prototype a small visual study to explore direction before committing to a full build.

Looking forward to hearing more about your vision.

I work with Three.js and WebGL building interactive visual systems that react to data, audio, and user input. A lot of my projects sit between real time graphics, generative visuals, and interactive environments running directly in the browser.

I’m comfortable building shader driven visuals, generative systems, and audio reactive scenes using Web Audio analysis to drive parameters like motion, color, density, and spatial behavior. My focus is usually on keeping visuals lightweight and performant while allowing them to evolve over time rather than being static scenes.

I also experiment with atmospheric environments, minimal visual language, and subtle interaction where perception and space matter more than literal representation.

Some of my work and services can be seen here

Open to discussing the visual direction, the type of audio or data inputs involved, and how the system could evolve technically and artistically in the browser.
