Monet.io is hiring a WebGL / Three.js Engineer to help build AI-native tools for spatial and event design.
We’re building systems that generate floorplans, layouts, and 3D spatial concepts in minutes instead of months. Our focus is on combining AI, spatial computing, and real-time collaborative editing into a new generation of design tools.
This is a high-ownership role with most of our current team are machine learning engineers, and we’re now looking for someone who can lead the architecture and engineering side of our 2D/3D web editor.
Primary Focus: Multiplayer 2D/3D Spatial Editor
You’ll help architect and build a collaborative browser-based editor for spatial and event design workflows.

Must-have:

Strong JavaScript / TypeScript / Three.js / WebGL experience

Deep understanding of rendering optimization techniques:

Instancing

Geometry batching

Tiling / chunking systems

LOD systems
-
Occlusion culling
-
Texture compression / atlasing
-
Efficient asset streaming
-
GPU / memory optimization

Strong understanding of 3D transformations, spatial systems, and interaction tooling

Experience handling large scenes with thousands of assets while maintaining performance

Ability to architect and own systems end-to-end

Strong async communication and remote work discipline
Strong Plus:
- CAD systems experience
- Computational geometry / algorithms
- WebAssembly (WASM)
- Multiplayer editor architecture
- Real-time collaboration systems
- Experience building editors, creative tools, or game-engine-like workflows
- Experience with ECS architectures or scene graph optimization
