Glow without Bloompass

I am doing similar project like this Mahindra Thar Roxx ,
I don’t think any postProcessing is used here. But how this headlights on is working like a perfect glow.

  1. Create your light source.
  2. Put a Plane mesh in front of that light source.
  3. On each frame make sure plane is facing the camera using for ex. .lookAt or by copying camera quaternion to the plane
  4. Add a material to the plane that has just a radial gradient (can be by using a texture, an SDF, or a custom radius shader, doesn’t really matter.)
  5. Set material blending to Additive and .depthTest to false.

@mjurczyk Thanks for your kind replay, But I don’t get it. could you please share any examples if possible.

I used a lensflare for this example. Which works similar to what @mjurczyk suggested.
