EXR example not working on iOS device


I recently updated my EXR -> EnvMap workflow to follow the latest PMREMGenerator.
Everything works well but when testing on an iOS device no lighting is applied to the model, its all black.
The same behaviour can be seen on the example page: https://threejs.org/examples/webgl_materials_envmaps_exr.html

Does anyone know of a solution to this?

In this case, I assume this topic is no longer needed.

I guess, unless someone has a workaround for this until it is resolved.
