Decal image limitations/requirements

Is there any limitations/requirements for the images used for decals? Some of my images come in fine, others are just completely black, though interestingly the transparency works.

a decal is just a mesh with a texture. if it’s black perhaps the material that you are using is unlit, metallic, or the image is broken or malformed.
