how can you detect ball go inside hoop ?

Hey! How do you make the hoop work? As in the rim is solid and the ball bounces off, but passes through the center. I’ve been facing this issue, where I can’t seem to get the center part of it to be hollow. When I make the Torus Geometry a solid body, even the open center part of it becomes solid and the ball bounces off of it.

Soo can you let me know how you’re doing it.
