WIP: My Interactive Portfolio with Three.js, GSAP, and ES6

Hey everyone!

I’m currently developing my interactive portfolio using Three.js, GSAP, and vanilla ES6, and I wanted to share my progress! My focus is on creating a smooth, immersive experience with parallax effects, interactive 3D elements, and optimized performance.

:wrench: Current Features:

:white_check_mark: Parallax scrolling powered by GSAP
:white_check_mark: Custom 3D models & interactions using Three.js
:white_check_mark: Optimized vanilla JavaScript (ES6) structure

:rocket: Still in Progress:

:small_blue_diamond: Implementing post-processing effects for a polished look
:small_blue_diamond: Optimizing performance on mobile devices
:small_blue_diamond: Enhancing UX/UI animations for better interactivity

I’d love to hear feedback from the community! If you’ve worked on something similar, let’s discuss and share ideas!

It looks promising!

Here are three ideas for improvements:

  • some indication for expected user interactivity (e.g. scrolling) would be welcome
  • the orange moon would love to get some shadow when hiding behind the earth
  • the earth, as I remember it the last time I was there, spins in the opposite direction
