Weird issue with glb model

We’re working with a bunch of human avatar models and most of them are fine however we have one which is acting weird. Partially, or completely disappearing in certain camera angles and distance. It also does happen in gltf-viewer

Any idea what might be wrong with it?


I can reproduce the issue in the editor. The bounding box of your skinned mesh is indeed too small. Hence view frustum culling does not work as expected.

There is an issue at GitHub that tracks the problem:

For now, there are two workarounds:

  • Update the bounding box manually to an appropriate size.
  • Disable view frustum culling for the skinned mesh and its children by setting Object3D.frustumCulled to false.
