Vibe codding... I don't get it!

For what it is worth, I found a live example of AI grabbing code from this forum.

My query was: tsl how to load uniform value from array

Part of the AI response was:

// 1. Declare an array of uniforms
const tintColors = uniformArray([
    new Color(1, 0, 0),
    new Color(0, 1, 0),
    new Color(0, 0, 1)
], 'color');

The AI general discussion referenced a discussion in which contained the following proposed code:

const tintColors = uniformArray( [
	new Color( 1, 0, 0 ),
	new Color( 0, 1, 0 ),
	new Color( 0, 0, 1 )
], 'color' );

What are the odds that AI would use the exact same example with the same unusual name tintColors? Obviously a direct copy. This discussion took place on Jan 2025, so the code is pretty recent.

At least the AI had the good sense to copy from code suggested by Mugen87 and not me. But we are obviously being watched - which brings to mind the quote from H.G. Wells “War of the Worlds”::

"Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.”
