The flip of gravity direction was fun. It looks like the catenary curve had different equilibrium positions purely because it is longer that the linear curve below. Would the bridge collapse if the top of the towers were not fixed?

I believe it would collapse. I’ll try it.

It stands up ok with just bottom and endpoints locked.
