Shadows not working in chrome 108.0.5359.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I can’t get shadows to work today in Chrome 108.0.5359.94 (Official Build) (64-bit), on Ubuntu

For instance, when going to three.js examples, I see shadows just fine on firefox, but not in chrome.

The stable channel has been set to this chrome version ( Chrome Releases: 2022 ), so I’m now wondering how long it usually take to address bugs on stable.

I’ve filled an issue ( 1401677 - chromium - An open-source project to help move the web forward. - Monorail ), but I’m curious to see if others see a similar problem?

Using Chrome 108.0.5359.124 on macOS works without problems. The issue might be related to the combination of Chrome and Ubuntu.

Is your graphics driver on the latest version? Also consider the same for the OS.

thank you for checking @Mugen87 , and yes, it indeed looks like it may be a driver issue. I’ll try and upgrade this weekend and report back

It seems like it wasn’t a driver problem, but an OS one. Upgrading the driver would not solve it, the only that worked was a full OS reinstall. I explain a bit more details of what I tried in the ticket.
