I’m thrilled to introduce my latest game— “Puppy Jump 3D Platform”! This is a jumping game crafted with three.js, designed for the 2023 Game Jam competition, immersing you in a world of surprises and fun alongside an adorable puppy.
The controls are a bit wonky at the moment making the acceleration not as much challenging as rather heavy and annoying Would be great if the character reacted to key press right away and turned the direction without slerping slowly.
Looks quite a bit prettier without the noisy ambient occlusion - could be off by default.
The clock is running some abstract time loop with increments of 2/3 seconds
With controls fixed I could easily buy it as a $2.99/$4.99 game, no need to do these little monstrosities :
Following the advice, I ditched the slow acceleration from standstill to movement, making small-scale maneuvers much smoother.
Smooth turns are out – now it’s instant when you hit the keys. Worried it might feel a bit less sleek visually?
