Make hole from left/right side

Hey, any1 know if its possible to make this example (https://hofk.de/main/discourse.threejs/2018/RestrictObject/RestrictObject.html) but hole from left to right or right to left side not front/back side. It will be very helpful for me.

Use the side shape as a base for extrusion, then simply rotate the result geometry 90 degrees around Y-axis.
