Lam Rimba – A tiny 3D forest conservation game built with Three.js

Hey everyone

I’ve been working on a little project called Lam Rimba and I’m excited to finally share it here.

Lam Rimba is a free, browser-based 3D game inspired by Indonesia’s forests and wildlife, built with Three.js.

The idea started with a simple thought: what if people could learn about forest conservation by actually experiencing it, rather than just reading about it?

So I started building a tiny 3D world where players can explore forests, encounter Indonesian wildlife, complete conservation missions, and slowly discover how everything in nature is connected.

I wanted the experience to feel approachable, especially for kids and people who don’t usually play games.

The first playable version is now live

There’s still plenty I want to improve, especially performance on mid-range Android devices. But I’m happy to finally have something people can explore.

The game is completely free to play, with a few optional items for anyone who wants to support its development.

Would love to hear what you think, especially from fellow Three.js developers. Any feedback on the visuals, interactions, or performance would mean a lot.

Thanks for checking it out!
