How to set layers of a CubeCamera?

Setting a CubeCamera’s layers property does not set the child camera’s layers as well. This is expected, since layers do not automatically update in children.
I see that the layers property is copied to each child camera in the constructor, but I don’t see a way to initialize the layers property before that gets called. Seems like there is an oversight there where that code will never do anything… or is there a way to initialize a CubeCamera with certain layers?

The line:

cameraPX.layers = this.layers;

actually copies the reference of the cube camera’s layers object to all sub cameras. As you can see with the below fiddle, updating the layers object of the cube camera also affect all internal cameras.

oh! that makes sense. I suppose I was setting a new reference instead of tweaking the existing one. Thanks for clarifying.
