I’ve written a simple 3D application that can be driven using Claude desktop. You can add this capability to Claude desktop by downloading and installing this extension:
Installation is easy: Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Extensions → Advanced Settings
Click “Install Extension”
Select the .mcpb file (hello3dmcp-server.mcpb) from this project
Restart Claude Desktop
You interact with the 3D app using natural language commands:
the application is built using two halves. There’s the server component, which is used to build the extension that installs into Claude. The project is here:
