I enjoyed your fundamental demo. I notice one quirk of curved text in the view frustum: the entire text disappears at close acute angles. Compare this to the segment cubes, in which faces individually honor clipping depth planes.
Fundamentally, it could be that text is split and grouped, as layout permits. But OOTB I thought camera bounds treated facets differently.
