I was wondering how this website enable us to configure rings.
Is it possible to find out the answer to these questions:
Does it use Three.js? which technique or technology does it use if not three.js?
Does it use images instead of 3D models for the presentation of the configured ring?

Yes.
Nope. And I don’t see the usage of a WebGL context in general. I guess the transition between images is done with CSS.
