I have been checking panolens recently, it looks really good. It is currently free, with option to give support to the project which is well deserved actually.
I want to check the implication of doing a project with it… so if in a years time the way it is distributed changes and requires payment, will my project be affected.

I’m not a lawyer but as far as I know it is not possible to change the license of a software in a retrospective fashion. The owners of Panolens.js could re-release their project under a new license as let’s say Panolens.js 2.0. But if you download the software today, you can use this specific version forever with the current license.
