Anywhere to read about what the new features/examples actually are?

I often see new examples/demos when a new release is put out. Is there anywhere that has an explanation of what is actually occurring/what they are used for?

For example the new Anamorphic example
https://threejs.org/examples/?q=anam#webgpu_postprocessing_anamorphic

I can see certain things are happening, but there is no explanation about what they actually are, or what their use case is, pros/cons? I assumed that for someone to make that example and it to be an official example it must have gone through some sort of process explaining why they are bothering to do it in the first place? If I use the above Anamorphic feature as an example all I find is…

So I think I’m probably not looking in the right place. Seems like new features are coming all the time, so it’s hard to keep track, it would be very useful if the code in the examples had some sort of explanation or at least a link so people can read up on it?

Release notes can be found here. But they tend to be a bit laconic.
