I am currently working on a game project in which we can navigate in space between planets and land on them.
The project is still at an early stage but we can already pilot the ship and go from space to the planet ground.
You can try it here : Weird Universe
Let me know what you think, any comment and suggestions are welcome.
Here’s an update (v0.0.4a) which introduces the clouds (among others).
Stuck in front of a planet with “256m/s” on a speedometer, but not moving anywhere Looks great, nevertheless!
Use the mouse wheel to raise engines throttle.
Then to make your way to the planet, press the left mouse button.
To make it faster, activate boost using Left shift.
Thanks for asking
Wow that’s pretty impressive !
As you can see on the screenshots my laptop suffered a bit, but I guess what you’re doing here is quite intense…
My specs :
Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.60GHz
GeForce GTX 960M
I noticed the system map on the low-left corner, I wonder if there is another planet to visit ? If so how to locate it ?
Thank you Felix,
I see, your fps is not quite good, indeed.
Later I will add some tuning so that it can run on lower configurations.
The project is still at an early stage of development and there is only one planet at this point, but there will a lot more later, as well as stars of different types, black holes, etc …
Il will add a star map to navigate easily.
Thanks for your interest.
