PAID Looking for a Three.js mobile controls / 3D navigation expert (touch gestures, iOS)

We’re building GalleryTalk.io, an interactive 3D gallery for artists. The web app is live, and we’re currently building an iOS app that embeds our Three.js experience (WebView).

We’re struggling with mobile controls: intuitive navigation in a 3D space (walk/orbit/inspect), plus reliable touch gestures (pan / pinch-zoom / rotate), and avoiding gesture conflicts with UI (taps, hotspots, overlays). We want controls that feel great for non-gamers in a “museum/gallery” context.

We’re looking for someone who has shipped mobile Three.js/WebGL experiences, ideally with experience in:

  • touch gesture handling + camera controls (inertia, clamping, precision mode)

  • pointer/touch event edge cases on iOS Safari/WebView

  • raycasting interactions (tap-to-select, hotspots) without accidental triggers

  • quick iteration + usability feedback loops

Scope: paid consulting sprint (1–2 weeks) to audit + propose options + implement/tune a solution (or advise our team).
If you’re interested, reply/DM with examples of shipped mobile 3D work (video links are perfect) and your availability.

Hi,

I’m very interested in helping with GalleryTalk.io’s mobile 3D experience. I have hands-on experience shipping WebGL/Three.js projects with a focus on intuitive touch controls, camera navigation, and precise raycasting interactions for non-gamer audiences. I’m familiar with iOS/WebView edge cases and implementing smooth gestures like pinch-zoom, pan, rotate, and inertia-based camera movements.

You can check out examples of my work here: https://theneoverse.web.app. It showcases interactive 3D experiences, virtual galleries, and large-scale environments with similar control and usability considerations.

I’m available for a 1 to 2 week consulting sprint and can provide audit, implementation, and tuning support with rapid iteration and usability feedback.

Looking forward to discussing how I can help improve the mobile experience for your users.

Best regards,

Cool project! I really like the idea!

I imagine a space editor can let artists configure and customize their room layout and features (or do you have that already?) and a collection of effects to freely apply in the space (f.e. put particles or glow behind a painting or on the walls between paintings, configurable (shader animated) picture frames to go around the paintings, etc).

It would be great to be able to interact with the galleries before being forced to signup/login.

For example you could show the signup/login popup when on certain actions like clicking on a painting to open the detailed image view, or to clicking to read info about a painting, or trying to leave a comment, or favoriting/liking a painting or gallery, etc.

That way it is more enticing to sign up.
