If you mean to do postprocessing-like effects like ShaderToy stuff on a full-screen plane, then z will always be constant (-600 in you case.) You shouldn’t need any information about the camera to do this effect. It’s 2 separate things. The wheel holding the planes is a 3d object that doesn’t need to know anything about what camera is being used to render it. The camera in this setup should just be whatever normal regular camera you use…
