No. It’s the order of indices of vertices in faces.

Okay! Gotcha. But then the edges get detached from the faces.

The 3D object rotates when dragging. Is it inbuilt action or the rotation can be disabled?

You can try to disable OrbitControls on dragstart event of DragControls, and then enable them back on dragend event of DragControls.
